Ben McLemore was the 7th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. A 6’5″ guard out of Kansas, McLemore hasn’t peeked as a pro yet, but teams believe he still has a chance to be a legitimate role player in the league.
Sources tell LegionHoops.com that one of the teams intrigued with McLemore is the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers will be in the market this summer for some help at the shooting guard position, and with such a young team being currently constructed, adding the 24 year old McLemore (who hasn’t peeked yet) would make a ton of sense.
McLemore averaged 8.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game this season.
Chris Haynes of ESPN first broke the news.
Sacramento Kings to decline extending qualifying offer to Ben McLemore and he'll become unrestricted free agent, league sources tell ESPN.
