The Grizzlies are reportedly taking trade calls on Tony Allen reports the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Allen is averaging 10 points, 2 steals and 5 rebounds per game this season. Allen, who’s regarded as one of the best defensive players in the game by many, has defined what it means to be a Grizzlie. Tough, hard nose player.

The MCA doesn’t mention what teams would be interested, but here are a few that could.

1) Timberwolves: Back in 2014, the Wolves and Grizzlies were engaged in trade talks for Allen. Expect them to revisit. Espically with Thibs now at the helm.

2) Jazz: Coach Snyder, like Thibs is a defensive minded guy. With Utah set for a playoff type season, I wouldn’t be surprised if they attempted to land Allen.

3) Clippers, Knicks, Bucks: All 3 teams can use the defensive help.
